Your First Time in the Studio: What to Expect at Your Trial Class
The first step is often the hardest — especially if you've never been to a dance class before. Here's how we take the nerves out of your first class at PXbJ.
Before class
We expect you to arrive at least 10-15 minutes early — enough time to arrive, change, and get familiar with the studio before things start. What to wear: comfortable, easy to move in; for Heels classes, bring your own heels (or ask beforehand if we have loaner shoes).
During class
Every class starts with a warm-up, then technique elements, then building the choreography step by step. No one expects you to nail everything right away as a beginner — our coaches build things up deliberately so every level can keep up.
What if I feel unsure?
Totally normal. Most people in class were once there for the first time too. Our coaches give individual feedback without putting you on the spot, and the focus is on enjoying the movement, not on perfection.
After class
Questions about further classes, pricing, or which style might suit you next? Our coaches and studio team are happy to help.
